Media-Allstars On The Gas at Muddy CreekMay 3, 2016It just seems like every year Muddy Creek Raceway lives up to it’s name. Luckily for the ATVMX riders in attendance this year it was only in small doses and most of the rain fell on Friday which in fairness left the racing surface almost perfect for Saturday and Sunday’s racing action. We got the day started off on Saturday with a somewhat soggy track but by noon the Victory Sports crew had the sawdust and East Tennessee soil worked to perfection.
Janssen’s Heart and Determination Apparent at Muddy CreekMay 3, 2016Muddy Creek Raceway, located in the hills of east Tennessee, played host to round 3 of the AMA ATV National Motocross Championship Series. These east Tennessee hills have seen decades of racing including great success by reigning ATV Derby Pro World Champion Cody Janssen. Janssen came into 2016’s chapter at Muddy Creek on a podium streak which saw him on the podium every single year he had raced the national series at this venue. But coming in injured from his major wreck in Texas, Cody realized it would be tough to keep this streak alive.

Hetrick Claims First Win of the Season at Muddy Creek NationalApril 23, 2016The 2016 ProX ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) presented by CST Tires, an AMA National Championship, continued today, April 23, at the iconic Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, Tennessee. With the presence of overcast skies the track shaped up nicely after rain showers the day before. Maxxis/Elka Suspension/Liquid Wrench’s Joel Hetrick was able to quickly adjust to the changing track conditions to take home his first win of the season.

The event was held at Underground MX. Brown persevered through difficult track conditions and mechanical issues to finish fourth.

Media All-Stars Report: Underground Race RecapApril 15, 2016Round 1 of the 2016 ATVA MX Nationals was held at Underground MX in Kemp, Texas. This is the 2nd year the series has held a race at this facility and with huge air, a 40 foot wide track and sandy soil it makes for one of the best race tracks on the circuit. The only downfall to opening the series in Texas is that most of our racers live east of the Mississippi thus making it hard to justify the extra cash and time off work to make such a long trip. We did have a good portion of our team on hand for the opener and they didn’t disappoint.

The racing action was nothing short of exciting with changing weather conditions creating an all-around exciting race day. With a mix of sun and rain the ATV Pro class was put to the test when it comes to their riding skills, but at the end of the two grueling motos it was Wienen Motorsports/Yamaha/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Walsh Racecraft/FLY Racing’s Chad Wienen who took home the esteemed overall win.
