- Sunset Ridge MX Invites Area Residents to “Walk the Track” June 17 to Raise Money for Breast Cancer ResearchJune 6, 2016On Friday, June 17, Sunset Ridge MX Park in Walnut will host their Sixth Annual Susan G. Komen Track Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser. The event, which raised more than $10,000 last year for the Quad Cities and Memorial Affiliates of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation, is expected to attract between 200 and 300 participants. National race teams riding at Sunset Ridge also contribute to the fundraiser.

But on this weekend, it seemed as if mother nature wanted to be a part of the event as well – she nearly took center stage.

The ATV Stampede, held annually at High Point Raceway, proved to be a great weekend for Wolfe where he took home the win in Pro Sport and second overall in Pro-Am.

Hetrick Wins ATV Stampede at High Point RacewayMay 21, 2016An abundant amount of rainfall occurred at High Point Raceway creating a slick and muddy track for the fifth round of the ProX ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) presented by CST Tires, an AMA National Championship. The track crew worked diligently to create the best racecourse possible and at the conclusion of the two 20-minute motos it was Maxxis/Elka Suspension/Liquid Wrench’s Joel Hetrick who took home the overall win with 2-1 moto finishes. - Janssen Injured but Recovering Gains Ground at IronmanMay 18, 2016Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana is most known for its world famous cross country race each fall. Now for just the second year, the storied hills welcomed the world’s most prestigious ATV Motocross series to its new state of the art motocross facility. Unfortunately, the track would look more like a GNCC cross country course for much of the weekend thanks to race day rain. But in a season full of early adversity, it would take more than a little mud to slow reigning ATV Derby Pro World Champion Cody Janssen.

The weather kept the 2015 event from living up to the hype so coming into this race once again we were all super excited to race this track. Well as fate would have it Mother Nature has a sense of humor…it rained…again.
