This past weekend at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana RacerTV captured Chad Wienen splitting moto finishes going 1-2 in the motos for a second overall for the day live on RacerTV.com.

In practice, Wienen misjudged a triple and came up short. Wienen had to return to the pits in order for the Wienen Motorsports crew to fix his machine just in time for second practice.

With wet conditions for moto 1, Wienen was prepped and prepared for mud conditions and was able to pull his YFZ450R out of the gate and across the holeshot line in first. Wienen went on to take the moto 1 checkers despite having pressure from the second place rider for over half of the moto.

Mother nature held off for moto 2 but Wienen got off to a rough start, coming out of the first turn barely inside the top ten. With his work cut out for him, Wienen put his head down and was finally able to make it up into fourth just before halfway through the moto. Shortening the gab between himself and the second place rider, Wienen drew himself closer and closer each lap and was finally able to make the pass into second on the last lap.

"This past weekend put my team and myself through the test. Having to turn the machine completely around between practices and having to work my way up through the competitive field in moto 2 makes me truly appreciate all of my crew and sponsors. Despite not being on the top spot where I was hoping to be at the end of the weekend, I am so proud of the whole Wienen Motorsports team and am looking to push harder these next two weeks to come out swinging at High Point Raceway," stated Wienen.
