Site Lap: A Fresh New Season Has BegunApril 4, 2014The Amsoil Spring National at Muddy Creek Raceway kicked off round 2 of the Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship bright and early this morning with overcast skies. Track conditions were perfect and then over the hill about a third of the way into the first rotation of practice, a dark and ominous cloud began to appear with streaks of lightning to beautify the morning.
Vechery Racing Race Report from GeorgiaApril 2, 2014The opening round of the Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship has come to a close and sophomore AMA ATV Pro rider Tyler Hamrick was able to pick up right where he left off from last year finishing 11th Overall in the Pro Class and battling Casey Martin in both motos. On Sunday Hamrick suffered from two bad gate picks but was able to work his way up through the Pro-Am class to finish 5th overall and crossed the line right on the rear grab bar of the top 2 finishers in the second moto.
Mtn. Dew ATV MX Set to Heat Up Muddy Creek This WeekendApril 1, 2014After a captivating start to the 2014 season that featured a thrilling battle for victory at the opening round, the Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship, sanctioned by AMA (ATVMX), will host its second round this weekend from Muddy Creek Raceway, in Blountville, Tenn. On Saturday, April 5, defending champion and opening round winner Chad Wienen will look to start his title defense with back-to-back wins in the AMA Pro ATV Class.
Site Lap: One Down, Eight to Go!April 1, 2014Welcome to the “delayed edition” of Site Lap. As far as the season opening Mtn. Dew Georgia National at Aonia Pass a little more than a week ago goes, we were treated to some of the best racing a season opener could ask for. There was a healthy turnout of riders and the competition seemed strong in all the classes. I also recognized a number of new faces on the podium and many even stated it was their first national win.
