2nd Overall in Indiana for Wienen

Chad Wienen and the AMA ATV MX Pro National Championship headed to Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana this past weekend where Wienen once again, took home second overall.

Wienen had a similar start in both motos, coming out of the first turn in fifth both times. He had his work cut out for him working his way towards the front of the field.

In moto 1, Wienen wasn’t able to make any moves on the field until after halfway through the race. With tight racing throughout every lap, Wienen was able to maneuver his way into third with a few laps left in the first moto. Pushing foward with only a few laps to go, Wienen hunted down the rider in second and with only a few turns left, made the pass into second as the checkers flew.

Moto 2, Wienen battled through the field to position himself from fifth up to second just after halfway through the race. With a 2-2 finish Wienen earned second overall.

“The racing was tight and exciting for spectators the entire race day at Ironman. I have work cut out for myself as I keep pushing forward this season. I’m looking forward to the next round at my home track in Illinois as we have reached the halfway point of the season.”
