WMX Pro and Pro Sport Riders Featured in
ATV Racing at Daytona International Speedway
First WMX Holeshot in Memory of Michelle Jenkins Given Out

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 17, 2022) – Along with AMA Pro ATV racers, the WMX Pro and Pro Sport athletes headed to Daytona Beach, Florida, to take part in the ATV Supercross on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Rainy conditions would delay the start to the day, but the battles would soon heat up as racing got underway.

In the WMX Main event it was Andrea Berger jumping out to grab the first-ever Wheelz Up WMX Holeshot Award in Memory of Michelle Jenkins. This award will continue to be given out for the 2022 season to the Moto 2 WMX Holeshot Winner. Berger would continue to lead each lap, coming through to earn the win after 11 laps through the muddy conditions. Kinsey Osborn would make her way into second on the opening lap and would also hold her position until the checkered flag flew.

Niamh Shaw had her work cut out for her as she came through in fifth on the first lap. She would put her head down and push, making the move to third by lap two and continuing hold that final podium position until the finish. Madyson Trower made the necessary moves throughout the race to come through in fourth, with Ellie Roush earning the fifth place position.

In the Pro Sport class, it was Brett Musick grabbing the early lead. Musick would not look back after grabbing the lead as he continued to push to place a gap on the rest of the field. Musick would take the checkered flag 16 seconds ahead of Blair Miller who came through to earn second in the class. Miller also held his second place position throughout the duration of the main event.

Chase Seeley would go back-and-forth from third to fourth and then back to third place by the time the checkered flag flew. Seeley would battle with fourth and fifth place finishers, Agostino Abbatiello and Joseph Chambers for those couple of laps in the middle of the moto, before making their way to the finish line to see the checkered flag.

The next round of the 2022 ATV Motocross National Championship series takes place on April 2-3 at Three Palms Action Sports Park in Conroe, Texas. This event will be round of one of amateur ATVMX racing, and round two for AMA Pro, Pro Sport and WMX Pro ATV classes.
