MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 28, 2021) – The 2021 ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) Series, an AMA National Championship, heads to Georgia for round four of AMA Pro ATV Racing this Saturday, May 29 at Aonia Pass MX.

Coming into the weekend ready to battle for another overall win will be Phoenix Racing/CST Tires/Elka/Walsh Race Craft/Moose Racing’s Joel Hetrick. After going 1-1 at the previous round, Hetrick is looking to keep his momentum rolling this weekend and earn valuable points in the championship hunt.

Wienen Motorsports/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Chad Wienen is looking for some redemption after going 2-2 at High Point two weeks ago. Wienen will look to earn his second win of the season this weekend and continue to hold onto the points lead.

After finishing third overall at the previous round, TDR Motorsports/OnTheBox Performance/Pafford EMS/Decker Training Facilities’ Brandon Hoag is eager to battle at the front of the pack once again. Hoag is hopeful he can get off to a better start, and push for what could be his first win in the AMA Pro class.

ML2 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/Maxxis/Yamaha’s Max Lindquist went 7-5 at the last round of ATV Motocross for a fourth overall finishing position. This weekend Lindquist will aim once again battle to try and land on the overall podium.

Rounding out the top five overall from the previous race was Phoenix Racing’s Jeffrey Rastrelli with a pair of sixth place finishes on the day. On Saturday, Rastrelli will be looking for a good jump off the gate and to battle at the front of the pack for a podium finishing position.

Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh’s Bryce Ford had some misfortune in moto one at High Point, but he would come through fourth in the second moto after some better luck came his way. In Georgia, Ford is aiming to put together two strong moto finishes and make his way back to the front.

GennUSA Racing/Integrated Financial Concepts/CST Tires/Walsh Race Craft’s Nicholas Gennusa unfortunately suffered the bad luck in moto two, after finishing fourth in the first moto of the day. Gennusa would have to swap a rear tire after lap one in the second moto, putting him at the back of the pack once he reentered the racetrack. As he heads into Georgia, he will be looking to battle at the front in both motos and earn another overall podium finish.

Coming through eighth at the last round was Stanfield Motorsports/Nine6Nine/Corrosion/TDR/Maxxis’ Logan Stanfield with Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh’s Cody Ford coming through to earn ninth on the day. Stanfield and Ford are both looking to battle in Georgia, and earn themselves some valuable points in the series.

Rounding out the top 10 overall JH Racing/FTR Graphics/Fly Racing/Walsh Race Craft’s Westley Wolfe after bad luck also struck him in the second moto of the day. Wolfe would cross the line fifth in moto one, but after casing the Pro jump his luck would change and he would have to limp his ATV throughout the remainder of the second moto, ultimately pushing it over the finish line.

Aonia Pass MX is located in Washington, Georgia. This event will also serve as a Georgia AMA State Championship for the ATVMX amateur racers. Dry camping is $20 per night, but other campsites may become available and riders heading into the facility can ask about the amenities at the front gate.
