Wienen Celebrates an Overall Win on July 4th
1-2 Finish for Wienen Lands him the Overall in Pennsylvania

Wienen Motorsports' Chad Wienen celebrated Independence Day this past weekend with an overall win at Pleasure Valley Raceway in Pennsylvania. Making it two overall wins in a row for Wienen, he captured this win with a 1-2 finish for the weekend.

Wienen came out second around the first turn in moto 1. He settled into the pace and started to make ground on the rider out front. Putting in the fastest lap of the race on the sixth lap Wienen cut distance between the rider out front to under a second. With five laps to go, and less than a half a second between the two riders, the rider out front blew an engine and Wienen went on to take over the lead and grab the checkers.

In moto 2, Wienen just missed the holeshot line but was able to pull into the lead before the second turn. Losing the lead on the fourth lap, Wienen settled into second. After halfway through he tried to put another charge on the lead but unable to make any advance on the field he settled into second knowing he would still take the overall on the day.

"We had a great set up for the day and I'm thrilled to be coming out of the weekend with the red plate. I'm looking forward to heading to Red Bud for our next scheduled event the end of July."

Wienen also took the overall win in Sunday's Pro Stock class. A less than stellar start in moto 1, Wienen started mid pack and had to work his way up to the front of the field. Moving into first halfway through, Wienen went on to take the first moto win.

Wienen grabbed his first holeshot of the weekend in moto 2, And went on to maintain a lead of one second on the rider in second and took the overall with a 1-1 finish.

The AMA ATV MX PRO National Series is scheduled to head to legendary Red Bud MX July 25 & 26 for the next round of racing.
