Vechery Racings/Never Sleep Designs Casey Martin finishes 11th at the second annual Daytona ATV Supercross while support riders Zach Gill and Tristan Evans each claim class wins.
After his last minute race decision and Pro-Am victory at Daytona last year, Casey returned looking for the same performance in the Pro class this year. A strong performance in his qualifier would give Casey a direct transfer to the main under the hot Florida sun. Martin would go onto finish a respectable 11th and most importantly goes into round two healthy. “Not a terrible start to the season at the Daytona SX. I did not get off the line like very well in either race but took fifth in the heat and in the main we had some issues around the half way point of the race but was still able to finish for 11th overall. Luckily, we have a long season ahead of us and I’m ready to get back to work during this month we have off until round two,” said Martin.
New Vechery Racing support rider Zach Gill made a statement this past week by taking the heat and main event win in 450A. Leesville Louisiana’s own Tristan Evans would carry over his success from 2015 by taking the heat an main event win in the 90 Open Jr. class. Dave Schrock would take his Florida vacation and turn in a 12th place finish in the 40+ class.
