If you have ever been to one of our races, chances are you have run into Stan "Big Daddy" Digby. Stan has become a staple at the events as he runs the ITP and VP Fuel sales and is all too happy to strike up a conversation and offer advice on any product he has on hand. Stan just isn't a white shirt and tie kind of guy, he can be found elbow deep in the grime as he changes tires or helps work on quads as the weekends hurried pace keeps him busy. We got the chance to throw a few questions Stan's way and here is what he had to say;
ATVMotocross.com: Stan, how is the off season treating you?
Stan Digby: Doing good just starting a new store that we sell a bunch of different stuff and sell at a bunch of different auctions.
You have become a staple at both the ATV MX & the GNCC series. How long have you been involved with all of this?
Started back in 94 and 95 racing at the nationals and then in 98 Terry Racing and I started vending at the nationals. Then in 04 ITP came to me about working for them and I've been with them every since. I also work for VP Racing Fuel and love working with them also.
Your boy racing has to really pull you in quite a few directions over the weekend. How do you manage to keep up with everything!
Keeping up with Jordan is a full time job by its self. Thanks to everyone at the nationals for pitching in and helping me with him. Big shot out to RRR, JB Racing, and a lot of great friends.
You raced back in the day ,what are a few things you see that have changed the most?
The level of racing has changed big time. What A class use to be is the C class now.
Also watching the factory's come and go really sucks.
2014 is shaping up to be a huge year for both series. What's you thoughts on the front runners this year?
For 2014 is I think going to be one of the best years we have ever seen in the pro class. I think there will be about 6-7 riders that will be capable of winning every time the gate drops this year. I hope it stays close in points all year down to the last Moto of the year.
Thanks Stan! Best of luck to you and your son in 2014!
