Dalton Millican riding his Nitro Fish backed ATV entered his second ArenaCross event of the season looking to continue the success he found at his last event in Memphis an event he won.
The final event of the Arenacross season brought out a lot of riders including AMA ATV Pro Travis Moore and the newly crowned Arenacross Champion Hunter Haswell.
Millican found himself on the gate of the 1st moto with Travis Moore. When the gate dropped Millican and Moore battled for the holeshot running into each other at the first turn. Moore made the turn and looked at a clear track in front of him. Moore quickly had Millican passing him. From that point on Millican and Moore bumped and banged each other until late in the race when the two became tangled. With their machines stuck together they were passed by the third place rider. Millican was able to get moving again and was able to regain the lead and take the checkered flag.
Moto 2 got underway in front of the packed Tunica Expo Center with Millican out front. Millican was able to maintain a good steady pace and continually built a nice lead. Millican took the checkered flag to get his second Arenacross win in two tries this season.
“Tonight was a lot of fun. Travis and I had a great battle in the first moto. That was like some of the many practice sessions Travis and I have had together. We were really getting pretty rough with each other but we have done that before it was fun. I really am proud that I was able to come here tonight and get another win. I am really excited for our whole team. Today was my Daddy’s birthday and that win was my present to him.” Millican said.
Millican also expressed his gratitude to those individuals and companies that are supporting him in his racing, “I feel so fortunate and grateful to several people that are participating in our program, Kenny Koretsky and Nitro Fish, Parts Plus, Jeff Maxey of Maximum Cycle, Jeff at Cernics, Mike and Nate Walsh of Walsh Race Craft, Jason and Logan of Munford Tire, Micah MacDonough and Adam Lambert of Custom Axis, Dan at Dasa Racing, Neil Cowman of Hoosier Racing Tire, Wayne Hinson at Hinson Racing, Jen Rath of Rath Racing, Ian Harris at SSI Decals, Jason Rueckert of VP Racing Fuels, Bob Harris of K&N Filters, Dan Fisher of Lonestar Racing, Chris Harris of Fly Racing, Gary Meier of JE Pistons, Laurie Dunlap at WebCams, Larry Mills at DP Brakes, Colleen Asch at Asterisk, Kyle Sugiyama at KG, Bill at Quad Tech, Scott at Cometic Gasket, JoJo at Sidi and Ryan at Works Connection.
