This is a personal press release from Casey:
Hello, Everyone I’m very excited to announce that I’m joining The Bill Baird Motorsports Crew. I’m starting a new chapter in my life as many may or may not know I have recently gotten married to my long time girlfriend Kristy. So with that new chapter why not bring in another new chapter. This is very exciting for Kristy and I. But enough of the mushy stuff, Into some more good stuff, I will be in charge of all Lane Baird’s quad racing we are still deciding on what exact classes Lane will compete in for the 2013 race year. Some may ask why go from working for Can-AM and John Natalie, to working for an amateur rider. Well here’s the answer, the way that I’ve seen the Bill Baird Motorsports team go racing is bar none. They always show up with great equipment and a great family environment with a professional look. The amount of talent I see in Lane when I watch him ride just gives me the chills. I really feel that I can help his program excel and that this kid has got what it takes to make it to be one of the sports greats like John Natalie, Doug Gust and Chad Wienen. I will always be there to help John with anything he needs; John and I are great friends and have had a great run together winning the 2011 AMA championship. It’s huge and still gives me chills to think about it. John and I have a lot of great times and some really hard times and in those times we always stood together. With me parting ways from The Motoworks Can-Am race team, I spent a great 5 years of my racing career there and enjoyed my time, we had huge success together along with a few other key employees and riders. I have to thank Johnny Leach for 5 great years of employment and becoming a life long friend.
