Sunset Ridge Scoring Correction
Wednesday, May 14, 2008 | 12:00 AM
Due to the cancellation of Sunday’s amateur racing program at the ATV National at Sunset Ridge in Walnut, Illinois, May 11, overall finishes and awards for six classes were calculated incorrectly. The six classes affected were:
- 4 Stroke A
- 4 Stroke B
- Production A
- Production B
- 450 A
- 16-24
These are the classes that had divisions on Saturday and were unable to run a final moto Sunday. The correct finish order, as posted on www.atvmotocross.com, gives the winner of the fastest division 1st overall, winner of the slower division 2nd overall, and alternates accordingly between divisions. To clarify, individual lap times are not used to determine the fastest division. Divisions are timed from the gate drop to the winner taking the checkered flag. The incorrect report that was printed at the event and used to hand out awards ranked riders randomly between divisions. The result is that some riders' overall positions were incorrect by one position.
Please check your class results on www.atvmotocross.com. If your plaque does not match the results posted, you can pick up a new place tag at the MotoTees trailer at any of the next round at High Point Raceway on May 24-25. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
