MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 19, 2026) – The ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, congratulates Joel Hetrick on earning his seventh AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Championship, adding another remarkable achievement to one of the most accomplished careers in the history of the sport.

Hetrick entered the 2026 season as the defending champion and wasted little time establishing himself as the rider to beat. The Phoenix Racing Yamaha rider opened the year with a perfect 1-1-1 performance at the season-opening Triple Crown event at Decker Training Facility and continued to set the pace as the championship unfolded.

With his 2026 title, Hetrick becomes a seven-time AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Champion, further cementing his place among the all-time greats of ATV motocross.

The title continues an impressive run for Hetrick, who captured his sixth career championship in 2025 after earning nine overall victories during a dominant season. His seventh championship adds another chapter to a career defined by race wins, championships and memorable battles at the front of the AMA Pro field.

Beyond his success in the United States, Hetrick has also represented American ATV motocross on the international stage. He was once again selected to the AMA U.S. ATV Motocross Team in 2026, marking his seventh appearance representing the United States at the FIM Quadcross of Nations.

From his first AMA Pro championship to his seventh, Hetrick’s combination of raw speed, relentless preparation and competitive drive has made him one of the defining riders of his generation.

Congratulations to Joel Hetrick – 2026 AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Champion and seven-time AMA Pro ATVMX Champion.

Hetrick earned eight overall wins during the 2026 season to earn himself the number one plate once again.
