Hetrick, Arnal, Corn & Plaza All Go 1-1 in Premier Classes

BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (May 19, 2026) – The 2026 Muddy Creek ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, delivered an unforgettable weekend of racing in Tennessee, combining intense on-track action with a meaningful tribute to one of the sport’s greats, Joe Byrd. Riders across all classes battled through the challenging and technical layout of Muddy Creek, putting on thrilling performances for fans in attendance. The event carried added significance as the ATVMX community came together to honor Byrd’s legendary impact on the sport, making it a special and memorable round both on and off the track.

Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick continued his dominant run in the AMA Pro ATVMX division with another flawless performance at the 2026 Muddy Creek ATVMX National, going 1-1 to extend his win streak. Hetrick once again proved to be in a class of his own, executing strong starts and maintaining control at the front of the field in both motos. His consistency, speed, and race management have made him nearly untouchable this season, and Muddy Creek was no different as he added yet another overall victory to his perfect campaign.

Rastrelli Racing/Williams Performance Engines/MX Real Racing Tuning/JB Racing’s Brandon Hoag delivered another strong and consistent performance at the Tennessee round, earning second overall with 2-2 moto finishes. Hoag maintained solid pace throughout both motos, keeping himself firmly in podium position against tough competition. Just behind him, ML2 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/Maxxis/Yamaha’s Max Lindquist secured third overall with a pair of 3-3 finishes, showcasing his consistency and ability to stay in the mix all day long. Both riders put together composed rides to round out the podium and continue building momentum in the championship.

Decker Training Facility/K5 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft’s Zack Decker put together a solid outing in the AMA Pro class to secure fourth overall, delivering consistent rides and keeping himself in the fight just outside the podium. Close behind, TDR Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/CST/Rocket Machine Design’s Mason Jackson rounded out the top five with a strong performance of his own, battling through the field and maintaining competitive pace throughout both motos. Both riders showed determination and composure, adding valuable results in a highly competitive Pro lineup.

JH Racing / Pep Performance / Shiffer Powersports’ Westley Wolfe made a strong return to racing, putting together a solid 5-6 moto performance to secure sixth overall. Wolfe showed impressive speed and composure throughout the day, proving he hasn’t missed a step while reestablishing himself in the highly competitive field.

TDR Motorsports/RP Race Performance/JB ATV Racing’s Noah Arnal and DW Performance/Baldwin Motors/Pro Graphx’s Joey Norris put together steady performances at the Muddy Creek ATVMX National, battling through a competitive Pro field. Arnal earned eighth overall with 8-7 moto finishes, improving his position in Moto 2 to cap off a solid day. Norris followed closely behind with 9-8 scores, also making gains in the second moto to secure ninth overall. Both riders showed persistence and consistency as they worked their way through the pack on the challenging Tennessee track.

Highline Racing/JB Racing/Custom Axis/TDR Motorsports’ Adam Ulrich and MEC Team Racing/Sabecort Sport/Walsh Race Craft’s Juan Ondarcuhu rounded out the top 10 overall at the Muddy Creek ATVMX National with determined efforts in both motos. Ulrich secured ninth overall with 7-10 finishes, showing solid pace early in the day before battling through the field in Moto 2. Ondarcuhu claimed 10th overall with 11-9 scores, improving his position in the second moto to cap off his weekend on a strong note. Both riders demonstrated perseverance and grit while competing against a deep and competitive Pro lineup.

Noah Arnal delivered a dominant performance in the Pro-Am class, sweeping both motos with 1-1 finishes to secure the overall win in convincing fashion. Arnal controlled the action from the front, showcasing excellent speed, consistency, and racecraft as he left little room for challengers throughout the day. His ability to execute strong starts and maintain a commanding pace proved to be the difference, earning him a well-deserved victory.

Behind him, Heath Hannah and Landon Corn battled through competitive motos to round out the podium. Hannah’s 3-2 finishes earned him second overall with a steady and calculated performance, while Corn’s 2-5 scores secured third after a strong showing in Moto 1. Both riders demonstrated resilience and determination, navigating the field and capitalizing on their opportunities to finish among the top contenders in the class.

Landon Corn put together a flawless performance in the Pro Sport class, sweeping both motos with 1-1 finishes to secure the overall win in dominant fashion. Corn controlled the action from the front all day long, showcasing impressive speed, confidence, and consistency as he left no doubt about his position at the top. His ability to get out front early and manage the race made him untouchable, earning a well-deserved overall victory.

Jeremiah Newton and Michael Perkins rounded out the podium with strong efforts of their own. Newton’s consistent 3-3 finishes earned him second overall, as he maintained solid pace and avoided mistakes across both motos. Perkins rebounded from a seventh-place finish in Moto 1 to charge forward with an impressive second-place ride in Moto 2, securing third overall with 7-2 scores. Together, the trio delivered an exciting showing in the Pro Sport class, highlighting both consistency and determination.

Lillian Plaza delivered another dominant performance in the WMX class, sweeping both motos with 1-1 finishes to claim the overall win. Plaza set the pace from the start and remained in control throughout the day, showcasing her speed, confidence, and consistency against a competitive field. Her flawless outing further solidified her position as one of the top contenders in the class.

Layne Fryar put together a strong and steady performance to earn second overall with 2-2 finishes, consistently running near the front and keeping pressure on the leader in both motos. Rounding out the podium was Niamh Shaw, who used 4-3 moto scores to secure third overall after improving her position in Moto 2. All three riders demonstrated skill and determination, highlighting the continued growth and competitiveness within the WMX class.

Keaton Thomas would come through in the Open C class, going 2-1 to take the overall win in Tennessee. Cory Come II would go 3-1 in the 450 C class grabbing the overall win. Michael Perkins went 1-1 in the Junior 25+ class taking the overall win at Muddy Creek. Marty Benge would battle through to go 1-1 in the Vet 30+C class earning the overall win, while Shawn Powell went 2-1 for the overall win in Senior 40+C and in the Masters 50+C class it was Jim Springer going 1-1 for the overall in Tennessee. Schoolboy Jr. (12-15) saw Hayden Corn go 1-2 for the win, while Madison Shepherd went 2-1 in the Schoolgirl (13-17) class for the overall. Colby Tressler went 1-1 in the 90 Automatic (8-13) class for the win, while Nate Joiner went 1-1 in the 70 Open (6-11) class for the win. Deacon Hughes would take the 50 Open (4-8) and 50 Auto (4-6) class wins at Muddy Creek.
