Kicks Off This Weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 13, 2026) –The countdown to the 2026 season is officially over as the ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) Series prepares to return to some of the sport’s most iconic venues across the United States. Featuring nine rounds of intense racing from March through August, the 2026 championship will challenge the nation’s top ATV racers on a diverse lineup of tracks from Florida to Michigan.

The season kicks off March 14–15 in the Southeast at the Decker Training Facility in Fountain, Florida. The opening round will serve as a Pro Points Only Triple Crown Event, setting the tone for the championship battle right from the start. This event will host amateur warm-up races for the upcoming ATVMX season – featuring some special events and prizes.

From there, the tour heads to Lizella, Georgia for Round 2 at Echeconnee MX before making its way north through the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, stopping at legendary motocross facilities. The second round of AMA Pro Racing in Georgia, will also be the event to host the first round of amateur points paying racing for the 2026 season. Round 3 of the championship heads to the Midwest on April 25–26 at Ironman Raceway, one of the most recognizable motocross facilities in the country. This year the Indiana facility will host The "IronWoman" ATVMX National, where the WMX class will be featured throughout the weekend. The track continues to be known for its rolling hills, sweeping elevation changes, and technical layout, Ironman has hosted countless national-level events and consistently delivers some of the most exciting racing of the season. The Indiana round often proves to be an early turning point in the championship as riders begin to separate themselves in the standings.

The series then travels south to Muddy Creek Raceway for Round 4 on May 9–10. Nestled in the hills of eastern Tennessee, Muddy Creek is famous for its natural terrain layout and flowing rhythm sections that reward both speed and precision. The facility’s passionate fan base and scenic setting make it one of the most anticipated stops of the tour each year. This event will hold the Joe Byrd Memorial ATV National, featuring Joe Byrd on the event t-shirts, a memorial backdrop for photo ops and a Joe Byrd Memorial Lap at the beginning of the event. On May 23–24, Round 5 brings the championship to the Midwest once again at Sunset Ridge MX. With its rich soil and old-school motocross character, Sunset Ridge has long been a favorite among riders. The track’s unique mix of fast straights, off-camber corners, and natural elevation keeps racers on their toes and often produces unpredictable results as the championship battle heats up heading into summer.

As the season progresses, the ATVMX tour continues its run through some of the sport’s most passionate racing regions. The championship will visit fan-favorite venues in Tennessee, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio, where riders across multiple amateur and professional classes will battle for valuable points and national titles in front of enthusiastic crowds.

Round 6 on June 20–21 takes competitors to the historic Budds Creek Motocross Park, a venue synonymous with American motocross. Known for its deep soil, demanding layout, and long racing tradition, Budds Creek provides one of the most physically challenging tracks on the circuit. Riders must maintain both speed and endurance to conquer the Maryland facility, making it a critical round in the championship chase.

The tour then heads to Pennsylvania for Round 7 at Pleasure Valley Raceway on July 11–12. Set in the scenic hills of western Pennsylvania, Pleasure Valley Raceway is renowned for its fast sections, sweeping turns, and dramatic elevation changes. The track’s layout encourages aggressive racing and often produces some of the closest battles of the season.

Round 8 brings the series to Michigan on July 25–26 at Baja Acres, widely regarded as one of the premier motocross facilities in the Midwest. Baja Acres features meticulously maintained soil and a modern layout designed to provide excellent racing lines and multiple passing opportunities. With the championship entering its final stretch, every point becomes critical as riders fight to stay in contention.

The 2026 ATV Motocross National Championship will conclude August 15–16 at Briarcliff Motocross, where champions will be crowned during the season finale. Briarcliff’s demanding terrain and technical design make it a fitting stage for the final showdown. With championships on the line and months of competition culminating in Ohio, the final round promises dramatic racing as riders give everything they have in pursuit of a national title.

Each round of the ATVMX National Championship brings two full days of competition, including amateur racing, pro qualifying, and the highly anticipated pro motos featuring the best ATV motocross racers in the country.

With a balanced schedule featuring premier motocross venues, technical layouts, and passionate race communities, the 2026 ATVMX National Championship promises another thrilling season for riders, teams, and fans alike.
