Joel Hetrick Clinches 2025 ATV Motocross National Championship Title

MORGANTOWN, W.Va (August 13, 2025) – The 2025 ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) Series, an AMA National Championship, concluded this past weekend at Briarcliff MX in Nashport, Ohio. The season finale also hosted the third and final AMA Pro Triple Crown.

The battle for the ATVMX National Championship would once again come down to the final race of the season, and with Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick finishing second overall (8-1-1) in the triple crown format, he would defend his number one plate and clinch his sixth AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Championship.

Wienen Motorsports’ Chad Wienen would have a great ending to his ATVMX Career as he would go 1-2-4 for the overall win in his final race as a AMA Pro ATVMX competitor. Also announcing their retirement from professional racing were GennUSA Racing/SSi Decals/Kenda/Action Off-Road’s Nick Gennusa and Rastrelli Racing/FXR Moto/Rocket Machine Design’s Jeffrey Rastrelli. Gennusa would finish sixth overall at the final race while Rastrelli finished seventh overall.

ML2 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/Maxxis/Yamaha’s Max Lindquist rounded out the top three overall finishers after going 3-4-5 on the day. Finishing fourth on the day was TDR Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/CST/Rocket Machine Design’s Mason Jackson followed by Decker Training Facility/K5 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft’s Zack Decker in fifth overall.

United Motorsports/Musick Racing/Media All-Star’s Kevin Saar and Highline Racing/JB Racing/Custom Axis/TDR Motorsports’ Adam Ulrich got into the top ten mix as they finished eighth and ninth overall on the day. While Ford Brothers Racing/FXR/SSi Decals/CST Tires’ Bryce Ford battled through injuries to salvage 10th overall on the day going 6-14-11 in the triple crown races.

Other competitors who came out to battle at the season finale of the ATVMX Series included Joey Norris, Patrick Turrini and GNCC Racing’s John Glauda. Manfred Zienecker from Germany also made the trek across the water to compete at the last round as he finished 15th overall going 13-19-14 on the day.

Joey Norris would clinch the Pro-Am National Championship after being sidelined for part of the season due to injury, along with Damien Hubert earning the Pro Sport National Championship after it would come down to just a few points separating first and second. Kinsey Osburn earned the top spot in the WMX class, as well as earning herself the WMX National Championship.
