Multi-Time Championship-Winning Team to Return to FIM Quadcross of Nations
Trio of Ford, Hetrick and Wienen Selected for AMA U.S. ATV Motocross Team
As America gears up for the July 4th holiday, ATV motocross fans have even more reason to celebrate: the announcement of the three racers designated to defend the AMA U.S. ATV Motocross Team’s title at the 2025 Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Quadcross of Nations in the Netherlands. Ford Brothers Racing/FXR/SSi Decals/CST’s Bryce Ford, Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick and Wienen Motorsports/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Chad Wienen will face off against the world’s top ATV competitors.
The team will chase its seventh title on September 27-28 in front of more than 6,000 attendees throughout the weekend and a global TV and streaming audience of 357 million viewers.
Ford, currently ranked second in this year’s AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Championship, was selected for the AMA U.S. ATV Motocross Team for the fourth year in a row.
“It’s an incredible honor to be chosen to represent the U.S. on the world stage in the Netherlands,” said Ford. “Racing for my country is something I’ve worked toward my entire career, and I’m proud to have this opportunity. It means the world to wear red, white and blue alongside the best in our sport. Let’s go make our country proud and help bring that championship title back home.”
Serving on the team for the sixth time will be Hetrick. The five-time champion of the AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Championship is currently leading the 2025 series points.
“Being selected for Quadcross of Nations in the Netherlands is an incredible honor, and I’m beyond pumped to represent the USA on the world stage again,” said Hetrick. “The deep sand will be a tough challenge, but I’m ready to face it head-on. I’m proud to be part of Team USA as we chase another world championship together!”
Wienen, an eight-time AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Champion, was unable to race for much of the 2024 season due to injury. However, he still accompanied the team overseas in an advisory role. Ranked third in the 2025 AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Championship, this year will mark his sixth time racing on the team.
“Making my return back to the Quadcross of Nations has been one of my goals for 2025,” said Wienen. “I’m extremely excited to represent my country and ATVMX colleagues from the United States. With being a part of the team in some capacity every year we have competed, I look forward to continuing our legacy. We have a great team and supporters behind us.”
Ford, Hetrick and Wienen will compete at the Kamperweg Heerde Circuit aboard Yamaha YFZ450R machines. Yamaha’s commitment, in addition to numerous other sponsors, will bolster the team’s FIM World Championship efforts.
“Yamaha remains committed to supporting ATV racing, and we are proud to continue our support of the U.S. ATV Motocross Team in Quadcross of Nations,” said Donnie Luce, Yamaha’s amateur MX, ATV, and Off-Road Coordinator. “This year’s venue in the Netherlands is sure to test the skills of Joel, Bryce and Chad, and we remain confident that they will apply all the skills they have learned from past events. It's going to be a very exciting end to our 2025 season, and we remain confident that they will represent the USA, themselves, the team and the YFZ at the highest level.”
Accompanying the team as the AMA delegate will be Harv Whipple. Previously announced, Mark Baldwin of Baldwin Motorsports will serve as the team manager, and Jody Bateman of JB Racing will serve as the crew chief.
As a part of the team’s fundraising efforts, a Holeshot Clinic is scheduled for July 18 at Pleasure Valley Raceway. Racers can learn holeshot techniques from Ford, Hetrick and Wienen from 8-10 a.m. and be one of the first to launch off Pleasure Valley’s new start grates. Riders of all ages and skill levels, as well as ATVs of all sizes, are welcome. Register onsite or email [email protected] to reserve a spot with a $200 suggested donation to the team.
Team apparel is available for purchase at the Baldwin Motorsports rig during the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship events leading up to the international competition.
