AMA Pro ATV Athletes Take Over Florida in Back-To-Back Events
Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick Off to a Strong Start in 2025

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (March 17, 2025) – As the 2025 ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, got underway with back-to-back Florida AMA Pro only events, it was evident that Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Joel Hetrick picked up where he left off last season.

Joel Hetrick (Phoenix Racing Yamaha) earned round 1 and 2 victories in Florida.

Hetrick would come out in Daytona ready to go, earning his heat race win and then going on to lead and earn the main event win inside Daytona International Speedway. As Hetrick headed to round two just days later at Decker’s Training Facility in Fountain, Florida, he would once again make his way out front in each of the three motos to take the first AMA Pro Triple Crown overall win. Hetrick leads the points standings with two rounds down, and eight rounds remaining.

Ford Brothers Racing/FXR/SSi Decals/CST’s Bryce Ford would have two consistent rounds of racing as he finished second in Daytona and then followed up with another second at Decker’s Training Facility for the second round of AMA Pro ATV Motocross. Ford currently sits second in the points standings.

Sitting third in the Championship points standings is Westland Motorsports/JH Racing/Goldspeed Tires/PEP/Musick Racing’s Brandon Hoag. As the series got underway in Daytona, Hoag would come through to finish fourth in the main event. He would then head to Fountain, Florida, for round two where he would go 4-4-3 in the first AMA Pro Triple Crown event, to take third overall on the day.

Wienen Motorsports/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Chad Wienen currently sits fourth in the Championship standings as he would battle back to earn third in the main event at the ATV Supercross event, while taking sixth overall in the triple crown format at round two.

After a rough start to the season, finishing 15th at the opener in Daytona, Decker Training Facility/K5 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft’s Zack Decker rebounded nicely at the second round to finish fourth overall on the day and move up to fifth in the Championship standings.

ML2 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/Maxxis/Yamaha’s Max Lindquist also did not have the start to the season he hoped for as he battled through the main event at round one to finish 10th in Daytona. Lindquist would recover well just three days later at Decker’s Training Facility to go 8-7-5 for a fifth overall finish at round two, which pulled him into the sixth place position in the points standings.

Sitting tied in points with Lindquist are DW Performance/Baldwin Motors/Pro Graphx’s Joey Norris and United Motorsports.com/Musick Racing/Media Allstars’ Kevin Saar, who all have 45 points in the standings after two rounds of racing. Norris would finish seventh in the main at round one and go 7-8-8 at Decker’s for eighth overall. Saar would finish sixth at ATV Supercross, while he finished ninth overall at round two after going 5-10-9 in the triple crown format.

JH Racing/Pep Performance/Shiffer Powersports’ Westley Wolfe sits ninth in points after two rounds of racing. Wolfe would battle through to finish eighth in the main event at Daytona International Speedway. At round two, Wolfe would go 11-9-6 to finish 10th overall on the day. After finishing 13th in the main event at round one and seventh overall at round two, TDR Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/CST/Rocket Machine Design’s Mason Jackson holds the tenth place position in points.

Rastrelli Racing/FXR Moto/Rocket Machine Design’s Jeffrey Rastrelli had a good first round of racing in Florida as he finished fifth in the main event at ATV Supercross but would unfortunately go 10-11-15 at round two in the triple crown format to finish 12th overall on the day, moving him to eleventh in the points standings.

Finishing eleventh at the first two rounds of the 2025 ATVMX season was GennUSA Racing/SSi Decals/Kenda/Action Off-Road’s Nick Gennusa. 4130 Motorsports/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Jayden Londerville would finish ninth in Daytona and 13th overall at the second round of racing. Williams Performance/SSi Decals/FXR's Joseph Chambers would finish 12th at ATV Supercross and 14th at Decker’s Training Facility, while Highline Racing/JB Racing/Custom Axis/TDR Motorsports’ Adam Ulrich finished 14th at round one and 15th at round two. Harts Cycle Sales/SPY/Impact Solution’s Marshall Smith did not race in Daytona but would finish 16th overall at round two in Florida.
