3-2 for Wienen at High Point Raceway

This past weekend Round 4 headed to High Point Raceway for another weekend full of ATVMX Pro Racing. Conditions stayed dry for race day despite the rain filled weekend. Six weeks post surgery Wienen was able to capture another second overall in 2023.

Wienen came out of the first turn around fifth place in moto 1. He was able to make a pass into fourth by the end of the second lap. Engaged in a battle the remainder of the moto, Wienen moved into the third place position before the end of the moto.

In moto 2, Wienen got off to a much better start just missing the hole shot coming out in second. He held onto his position for the entirety of the moto. With a 3-2 finish Wienen found himself in the second place overall position for the weekend.

“I’m feeling really well after my collarbone surgery. I am still working on gaining my strength back but each time out on the track I see improvement. I am looking forward to heading back to the midwest next at Ironman in hopes I can continue forward in my recovery and find strength to be able to get onto the top of the podium.”

Racing continues May 13 at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana for Round 5.
