MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 14, 2022) – The ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) Series, an AMA National Championship, heads to Aonia Pass MX in Washington, Georgia this weekend for round two of amateur racing, and round three for the AMA Pro, WMX Pro and Pro Sport classes.

With two consecutive wins under his belt this season, Phoenix Racing/CST Tires/Elka/Moose Racing’s Joel Hetrick will be aiming for another victory this weekend in Georgia. Hetrick is on a mission to get that number one plate this year, and he is hopeful that he can keep the win streak alive after round three on Saturday afternoon.

Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi Decals/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh’s Bryce Ford will be aiming to battle for what could be his first win of the season after earning second overall in his home state of Texas. Ford currently sits second in the points standings, but he will be aiming to continuing to better himself in the series.

After fighting back at the previous round Wienen Motorsports/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Chad Wienen is ready to turn his luck around this weekend and battle at the front for a win. Wienen has finished fifth and third overall at the first two rounds, but he is looking to make the move to the number one spot and turn up the heat in the battle for what could be his ninth National Championship.

Just missing the podium last round was Musick Racing/Déjà vu/Kenda Tires’ Brandon Hoag. This weekend Hoag is out for revenge as the win was in his sights at Daytona and a mechanical issue took him out of contention. Hoag is looking to battle at the front of the pack this season, and to be a contender for an overall win.

Rastrelli Racing/FXR Moto/Rocket Machine Design’s Jeffrey Rastrelli is another racer looking to continuing battling at the front of the pack after a third in Daytona and a fifth in Texas. Rastrelli will be aiming to land on the overall podium once again this weekend and is hopeful he can battle at the front for a win.

Looking to make his way to the front this season is GennUSA Racing/Integrated Financial Concepts/CST Tires/Walsh Race Craft’s Nicholas Gennusa. After a tough start to the season, Gennusa is aiming to turn it around this weekend in Georgia.

Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi Decals/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh’s Cody Ford along with Decker Training Facility/K5 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft’s Zack Decker and ML2 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/Maxxis/Yamaha’s Max Lindquist are also three racers looking to better their performances this weekend at Aonia Pass MX.

In the WMX Pro class Andrea Berger and Kinsey Osborn are both tied for first place after swapping first and second place positions at the first two rounds of racing. Both Berger and Osborn will be aiming to grab another win this weekend and take over the points lead as they leave Georgia. Niamh Shaw has gone 3-3 at the first two rounds, but she is hoping to come back and earn her first win of the season and make up some points on the two women up front.

Brett Musick has gone 1-1 at the first two rounds in the Pro Sport class, and this weekend he will be aiming to keep his success rolling. Musick will have to take on Blair Miller and Dane Molander who have been challenging him along with Agostino Abbatiello who finished runner-up in Daytona.

Pro-Am had their first round of racing in Texas with Blair Miller taking the win followed by Joseph Chambers and Andrew Schadtle rounding out the top three. This weekend the Pro-Am racers will head into round two with hopes of challenging for the overall win in the class.

This weekend the 2022 ATV Motocross National Championship series takes place at Aonia Pass MX in Washington, Georgia. This event will be round of two of amateur ATVMX racing, and round three for AMA Pro, Pro Sport and WMX Pro ATV classes.
