Announces 2017 Awards Banquet
AMA Pro ATV Championship Set to be Presented to Joel Hetrick on November 18

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (September 12, 2017) – With the 2017 Wiseco ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) presented by CST Tires, season officially wrapped up, MX Sports and the ATV Promoters Group is pleased to announce the details for the 2017 Annual Awards Celebration.

The season ending banquet will take place at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio on Saturday, November 18 at 5 p.m. Known as the largest waterpark in the U.S. under one roof, the hotel boasts a resort-type feel with dining, bars, kid activities, a spa and more, making it an ultimate celebration destination. 

This year marks the 32nd anniversary of this truly unique championship, which visited some of the most well-known motocross tracks in the country over the course of an 11-round pro schedule. After challenging for the title for the past seven years, Joel Hetrick will be awarded the National Championship and Gary Denton Cup, in addition to the season-long SSi Decals Holeshot and ATVRiders.com Top Qualifier awards.

ATVMX is the world’s longest-running and most prestigious ATV racing series, and is the world’s premier showcase of four-wheeled off-road racing talent. The top 10 class finishers in each amateur championship class will also be honored on Saturday evening, along with a variety of specialty awards. Additionally, the top five in each class will receive contingency prizes from series sponsors.

To purchase tickets visit www.atvmotocross.com. Tickets include dinner and admission, adults are $45, children ages 6-11 are offered at a discounted rate of $20, and anyone age five and under is free.

Hotel room reservations are available at a group discount price of $199 for a one-night stay, and $149 for two-nights, and each room includes four waterpark passes for the duration of the booking. In addition to the awards ceremony, competitors and their family members are encouraged to take part in the Riders Meeting on Sunday, November 19, at 9:00 a.m. Participants will be able to voice their opinion on class structure, rules, and more for the upcoming 2018 season.
