The third round of the 2014 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship, sanctioned by AMA (ATVMX), will be a historic one for the world’s premier ATV motocross racing series. This Saturday, May 17, RacerTV.com will present the first-ever live stream of an ATVMX National at the Maxxis ATV Stampede at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania.
While the showcase AMA Pro ATV Class will be the focal point of the inaugural “ATVMXLive!” show, the loaded day of action at High Point will also feature some of the best amateur ATV racing on the planet. Calling the play-by-play action on the live stream will be longtime ATVMX announcer Rodney Tomblin, who also calls the play-by-play for RacerTV.com’s highly popular GNCCLive! and LorettaLynnsLive! shows. Joining Tomblin in the booth this weekend will be longtime ATV mechanic and racer Casey Greek, along with Danica Wienen as the pit reporter.
The action kicks off at 2:30 p.m. ET for opening ceremonies, followed by the first moto of the AMA Pro ATV Class at 3 p.m. ET.
Wienen Motorsports/SSi Decals/Walsh Yamaha’s Chad Wienen has gotten his title defense off to a stellar start, capturing the overall victory at the first two rounds of the 2014 season. The current points leader will look to keep his undefeated record intact as he looks to become just the second rider in history to win a third-straight ATVMX title. However, a long list of challengers is more than ready to stand in his way coming off a six-week break in action. Led by the Pennsylvania tandem of John Natalie, who rides for Motosport.com/RRR/Ford/DWT/Walsh/Fox Honda, and Joel Hetrick, who races for JB Racing/DWT/Mtn. Dew Live Wire Can-Am, the battle to end Wienen’s dominant start to the season on Saturday afternoon is sure to live up to standard that has already been set through the first four motos of the 2014 season.
RacerTV has established itself as standard-bearer for online racing content for many years. Its innovative approach to bringing the best motorcycle and ATV racing on the planet to the masses has been hallmarked by the live streams of both the AMSOIL AMA Grand National Cross Country Series, presented by Maxxis, and the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, presented by AMSOIL. The addition of ATVMX to the live lineup on RacerTV.com signifies a new era for the sport of ATV motocross.
On-track AMA Pro ATV Class action at High Point Raceway begins at 11 a.m. ET with practice and qualifying. Opening Ceremonies kick off at 2:40 p.m. ET, with Moto 1 scheduled for 3 p.m. ET. All the action can be followed via Live Timing and Scoring through the official series website.
