We had a chance to catch up with Luke Shepherd as he busily prepares for not only the 2014 motocross season, but the GNCC season as well. Running both series will take a lot of dedication, training and support, and we will be following Luke during his season to see how well he fares.
Luke Shepherd: As the cold rolls into the 724 compound, I'm out in the shop as we speak putting new quads together. I have been putting a lot of time in the gym and all I’m going to say is I think people are going to be surprised at the first round. I plan on racing all of the motocross series next year and most of the GNCC series. I have started running GNCC over the past few years for fun and I'd like to really put my all into it one year and this may be the year. It's a totally different type of racing and it honestly takes a man to even finish, let alone finish towards the front of your class! I'm excited to be representing Houser Racing as one of the factory support motocross racers for 2014 and also Extreme TEC ATV. I plan on competing in Pro Am in MX and GNCC next season as I got my feet wet last year in the class and know what it takes now to run towards the front. I have a lot of great people helping me next year and in a few weeks I’ll be heading down south to Texas to start training.
Follow me on Facebook or on Instagram @shepherd724 and I'll be posting updated quad pictures for everyone to see. I must say I'm excited to show everyone these finish products, they may be my best bikes yet! I'll see everyone either training or on the gate at round one! Ride on, my friends.
We wish Luke the best of luck in his quest and hope to see him reach his goals! Be sure to follow Luke on social media to keep updated on this talented young racer!
