New Englander Josh Creamer Heads Near Home Looking for His First Overall of the 2013 Season
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (July 11, 2013) — With only a week off, the 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series, sanctioned by AMA, will return to racing this weekend, July 13 and 14, at historically Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin, N.Y. The second half of the season is well underway as Unadilla hosts Round 8 of the 10-race series.
New Englander Josh Creamer won the ATVMX National Championship in 2010 and after a brief hiatus from the series, Creamer has made his return back to the series in 2013. The highly anticipated return of the series’ former champion has proven to be as eventful as expected but Creamer is still looking for his first win of the season aboard his BCS Can-Am machine. Returning to his home region of the U.S. for Unadilla, Creamer is expected to make a statement in front of his hometown crowd.
Current points leader Chad Wienen won his fifth consecutive overall win at Round 7 on his Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha presented by Maxxis Tires & Team Vollmer machine. Wienen has been consistent on the podium all season and looks to continue the trend as the season winds down.
Corrosion Hetrick Racing’s Joel Hetrick made his return to the podium at Steel City after taking the moto 2 holeshot and win. Hetrick was back on speed and came out swinging at his first race back healthy. Hetrick was happy to be able to put on a good show in front of his hometown crowd in Pennsylvania last weekend and is looking to find the front field again this weekend.
Texas native Thomas Brown has been consistent all season long and is hoping to find the podium again at Unadilla aboard his Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha presented by Maxxis Tires & Team Vollmer machine. Brown has grabbed six of the seven third place overall finishes and has been pushing himself to find the top of the podium before the end of the 2013 season.
MotoSport.com Motoworks DWT rider, John Natalie took fourth overall at Round 7 after finishing the weekend with 2-5. Natalie has been an overall win contender all season long but is still on the hunt for his first overall win and is hopeful it will be in New York.
