The AMA requires all Pro ATVMX riders to have an installed helmet removal system in order to compete.ƒ‚  The 88 Live to Ride foundation will again have Eject Helmet Removal systems available for purchase at all of the ATVMX events.ƒ‚  Cost of the system is $60 or two for $100.

The goal of the Eject Helmet Removal System is to help first responders remove a proper-fitting full face helmet quickly and safely when neck and spine injuries are suspected.ƒ‚  EMTs can now safely reach a rider/driverƒ’s airway to provide the best possible care.ƒ‚  The system is a small air bladder with an attached hose that weighs next to nothing, and is inflated to push the helmet off of a rider/driverƒ’s head. ƒ‚ If your helmet needs to be removed by an EMT after a crash, they can do it quickly and safely with greatly reduced traction or pressure on the spine.

Debi Bartosek, President of 88 Live to Ride, encourages all riders, parents, track owners and EMS personnel to visit Ejectƒ’s website for testimonials, installation instructions and frequently asked questions concerning the Eject Helmet Removal System —“ www.ejectsafety.comƒ‚

Look for Debi at the JB Racing rig located in the Pro pits.ƒ‚  She hopes to be at each event by Thursday evening.
