For the first time ever, the 2007 AMA Pro ATV Champion Joe Byrd will be recognized at the 33rd Annual AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday November 18.

The celebration will honor Joe with the No. 1 Plate for the first-ever AMA Pro ATV Championship, and Joe knows how special the AMA Pro Racing banquet is in Las Vegas.

““The AMA banquet is way different than our banquet,” Byrd said. ““More money there. It would be an honor to just go there and have a lot of fun; who doesn’t mind going to Vegas?”

As the first-ever AMA Pro ATV champion, Byrd acknowledged the AMA for helping to advance the sport of ATV motocross. ““The AMA has made things a lot more consistent,” Byrd said. ““There’s a lot more professionalism here at the racetrack. We’ve been wanting it for a long time to be actually Pros and AMA guys. It’s here and it’s only going to get better and better every year.”

Honda will also be presented with the first-ever AMA Pro ATV Manufacturers Cup at the AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet. ““Winning the manufacturer's cup is a testament to the TRX450R being the best platform for creating a winning ATVA ride,” said the American Honda press manager Jon Row.

The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino will host the 5th Annual AMA Sports Banquet on Friday, Nov. 16, recognizing the nation’s top amateur racers. For more information, call (614) 856-1900.
