Hetrick Aims For Home State Victory

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 14, 2021) – The 2021 ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) Series, an AMA National Championship, heads to Pennsylvania this weekend, May 15 and 16 for round three. ATVMX will look to takeover High Point Raceway for the first time since 2018 and Pennsylvania native, Phoenix Racing/CST Tires/Elka/Walsh Race Craft/Moose Racing’s Joel Hetrick will be looking to earn his second-straight win of the season.

Hetrick earned the previous round overall win in Texas and is aiming to overcome his 13-point deficit in the National Championship points standings. Back in 2018, Hetrick took the overall win by edging out his competitors by going 2-1 on the day. This coming Saturday Hetrick is hoping to go 1-1 for a perfect finish in his home state.

As the season heads into round three, Wienen Motorsports/Maxxis/SSi Decals/Fly Racing/Yamaha’s Chad Wienen holds onto the points lead with a first and second overall thus far in the season. Wienen will aim to earn his second overall win of the season this weekend, and he will be ready for a battle come Saturday afternoon.

After finishing third at the previous round in Texas, Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh’s Bryce Ford sits tied in the points standings in third place. Ford comes into this round ready to go, and eager to battle at the front of the pack for two motos of great racing.

ML2 Motorsports/Walsh Race Craft/Maxxis/Yamaha’s Max Lindquist finished fourth on April 10, and this weekend he will aim to make a move onto the overall podium. After two rounds of racing, Lindquist remains fifth in the points standings.

Gennusa will aim to battle at the front once again, and land on the overall podium with hopes in battling for what could be an overall win.

Phoenix Racing’s Jeffrey Rastrelli is hopeful he can race up front with his competitors and battle in both motos for an improved overall finishing position. Rastrelli, who sits seventh in the points, has yet to break into the top five overall this year.

Ford Brothers Racing/Fly/SSi/Maxxis/DWT/Maxima/Fourwerx/Walsh’s Cody Ford comes into this round after finishing seventh at round two of the AMA Pro racing. Ford is aiming to improve his standings after a crash in Daytona left him with a 16th overall finishing position.

Looking to run up front this weekend is Stanfield Motorsports/Nine6Nine/Corrosion/TDR/Maxxis’ Logan Stanfield. He finished eighth at the previous round and will be aiming to push himself up in the standings with a better finish at this round of racing.
