As the 2016 Pro X ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) reaches its halfway point, Westley Wolfe has found success in both the Pro Sport and Pro-Am classes this year. Just a few weeks ago, June 18 and 19, Wolfe had a stand-out performance at the Sunset Ridge National in Walnut, Illinois.

Wolfe kicked off the weekend pulling the holeshot in the first Pro Sport moto where would end up crossing the line in third, but took the win in the second moto earning him the overall win.

In the first Pro-Am moto Wolfe repeated his success where he earned another holeshot and then continued to lead the way for the remainder of the race. He would have to work to earn the win in the second moto where he battled current ATVMX professional racers, but in the end Wolfe rose victorious to earn his first ever Pro-Am overall win going 1-1.

Most recently, Wolfe made the long drive to Millville, Minnesota to race the Spring Creek ATVMX National on July 2 and 3. After starting the weekend with a win in the first moto of Pro Sport, Wolfe looked to keep the ball rolling through the next three motos on Sunday.

For the second Pro Sport Moto Wolfe got a bad jump off the line and worked his way to third by the time the checkered flag flew. A 1-3 moto tally gave Wolfe second overall in Pro Sport.

After getting off to another not so great start and starting the race in twelfth, Wolfe managed to push his way through the experienced field to finish second in the first moto. Misfortune would strike Wolfe on the site lap for the second Pro-Am moto when his stator went out. This mechanical issue ultimately resulted in a DNS where he went 2-15 for tenth overall.

Wolfe currently sits second in both the Pro Sport and Pro-Am points championships. As the ATVMX series heads to New Berlin, New York for the Unadilla National in two weeks Wolfe will look to earn valuable points toward the championship and secure the top position.
