Westley Wolfe
Race Report: ATV Stampede
May 25, 2016

Westley Wolfe faced yet again another muddy race weekend in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania where he competed in the fourth round of the ProX ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX). The ATV Stampede, held annually at High Point Raceway, proved to be a great weekend for Wolfe where he took home the win in Pro Sport and second overall in Pro-Am.

Wolfe kicked his weekend off winning the first moto in Pro Sport in front of his friends and family who made the two hour drive from Maryland. On Sunday, Wolfe got a good jump off the start and found himself in a top-five position heading out of the first turn. The muddy track conditions made it one-lined and hard to pass. Wolfe would end up finishing fourth, but his set 1-4 moto finishes earned him the overall.

The race conditions would stay much the same on Sunday for the Pro-Am motos. Wolfe’s Honda powered him through the uphill start and gave him a large lead over the rest of the field. Wolfe would use this to his advantage and lead the rest of race to take the first moto victory.

In the second Pro-Am moto Wolfe battled with the one-lined track once again as he ran second. By the end of the 15-minute moto, he would end up crossing the line in second right on the back wheels of the leader.

Wolfe will look to repeat this past weekend’s success in two weeks at the Monster Mountain National in Tallassee, Alabama.
