Wienen Takes the Overall
2-1 For Wienen Lands Him at The Center of the Box

Racing took to Chad Wienen's home state this past weekend at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, Illinois where he claimed his second overall win of the 2020 season. After earning the fastest qualifier of the day, Wienen finished 2-1 for the overall win.

In moto 1 Wienen came out of the first in the fourth position. He was unable to make any advances in the field until the third lap where he managed to gain two positions and settled into the second position. Putting down the fastest lap of the moto a few laps later, Wienen began knocking off some time the leader had on the field but wasn't able to close the gap enough by the end of the moto and finished out moto 1 in second.

Wienen grabbed the moto 2 holeshot and immediately put his head down and put distance between himself and the rest of the field. Putting in the fast lap of the moto on the third lap, Wienen continued to gain speed throughout the moto and had gained a ten second lead by the time the checkers flew.

"I'm pumped to have earned back the top spot on the podium. My team and I found a great setup at the end of last round and I was really feeling it this weekend. It's always great to put on a good show for my hometown fans, friends and family. I'm excited to head to Pleasure Valley in Pennsylvania in a few weeks and hope to carry this momentum to the next race." Said Wienen.

In Sunday's stock class, Wienen grabbed both moto holeshots and wins. Making this round Wienen's third straight Pro Stock class win on the season.
