Ford Brothers Racing 2020 Preseason Press Release

Any athlete would tell you they are on a constant journey to become the best version of themselves. What an athlete may not tell you [but is assumed by almost any true competitor] is they are almost never satisfied, always wanting more. The Ford Brothers Racing team has the tall task of trying to top their very impressive and wildly successful 2019 campaign, a season that included: the first AMA ATV Pro Class podium finish by a rookie in nearly a decade, 11 event wins, a pair of National Championships in the highest level of amateur class racing in the sport, and an Amateur Rider of the Year award. As daunting a task as it may seem to top the accomplishments of the 2019 season on paper, Springtown, Texas’, Ford brothers have proven to be two racers you won’t want to bet against. Get ready 2020, here comes Cody and Bryce Ford!

In 2019, it was Bryce Ford’s world and we were just living in it. The 17-year-old was all the buzz in the ATV racing world when he seamlessly transitioned from dominating the youth ranks of national ATV motocross, to dominating the highest level of amateur competition in the sport. Bryce didn’t just win, he left no doubt who the fastest amateur in the sport was, by winning 11 events en route to claiming National Championships in both the Pro Am and Open Pro Sports divisions – the 11th and 12th national titles of his already illustrious career. Much of the buzz started last season has not settled in anticipation of Bryce’s move to the AMA ATV Pro Class in 2020. New year, new class, and new number for the youngest Ford brother who will be running the #4 as he starts his professional career. It’s sure to bring back some memories, as Bryce will be joining Mark Baldwin underneath the Baldwin Motorsports tent – much like a previous #4, legend Tim Farr, who did so 15+ years ago. Bryce Ford has the speed to race with any ATV racer on the planet, and if he can ride with poise and a level head he will compete at the front of the pack early on in his AMA ATV Pro class career.

It had been nearly a decade since a Pro Class rookie had earned their spot on the podium of an ATV National. Insert Cody Ford, who was the first AMA ATV Pro Rookie to podium since the reigning champion Joel Hetrick did it back in 2010. The incredible top three finish against the world’s fastest ATV racers was the highlight of Cody’s season, but his consistency was on display each and every weekend earning him an impressive 9th overall in the AMA ATV Pro Class season standings. Bryce may flash with his unique style and blistering speed, but Cody’s diligence and blue-collar hard-working nature is what makes the eldest Ford brother so tough to beat. Cody just keeps grinding and keeps grinding, all the way to strong finishes week in and week out – so his nickname “The Foreman” seems very fitting. Cody set a perfect example for his younger brother on how to successfully navigate one’s first season as a professional. He will look to keep building on all his successes of 2019 and try to keep his little brother behind him in the process. Much like Bryce, Cody will be donning a new number in 2020. Look for Cody’s fresh #5 as the gate drops on the season opener at Daytona just a few short weeks from now.

The Ford Brothers Racing team looks to post another impressive season, and both boys are working diligently to improve on what was an already stellar year in 2019. Again, under the tutelage of AMA ATV Pro Class front-runner and Tbrown Training instructor, Thomas Brown, the boys are assured to be prepared and ready for battle when the first gate drops of the 2020 season. The two brothers seem to showcase a high level of togetherness but will have to put that aside as they compete against each other at the highest level of ATV racing in the world. The AMA ATV National Championship series kicks off on Tuesday March 10th, inside Daytona International Speedway, where the “Brothers Ford” will look to put their new #4 and #5 up front to start the new campaign. Good Luck Cody and Bryce!
