Over Memorial Day weekend ATV MX Pro National Championship headed to Muddy Creek Raceway in Blountville, Tenn. Wienen Motorsports' Chad Wienen finished 2-2 and took second overall on the podium.

In moto 1, Wienen was blown out wide in the first turn and came off the track but was able to quickly recover and fell into the fourth-place position. Wienen became apart of a three-way battle for the second-place position for over four laps. Wienen capitalized on lap four and was able to move into second where he went on to finish moto 2.

Moto 2 gate dropped and Wienen grabbed his first holeshot of the year. With pressure from behind Wienen lead for eight laps and then fell back into the second place position where he went onto finish the race.

"I am happy with how the weekend turned out provided that I struggled to find a settling on my machine that I felt comfortable riding. With unique track conditions my machine and I were just not in synch but I am looking forward to heading the next round in our home state and to get this Wienen Motorsports Yamaha back to the center of the box." Said Wienen.

On Sunday Wienen, once again, put his Stock Yamaha back onto the center of the box after finishing 2-1. Wienen came out of the first lap in the fifth place position. Moving into third by lap 2, Wienen continued to progress and took over the lead the following lap. With tight battles and several lead changes throughout the remainder of the race Wienen held fell back into the second place position with one turn to go and crossed the finish line in second .3 seconds behind the leader.

Moto 2 once again proved to be a great race for the spectators with lead changes throughout the entire moto but this time it was Wienen who was able to capitalize and come across the checkers first after the moto concluded.

"I'm thrilled we finally had some good weather conditions for our Sunday stock Premier class racing. I had a lot of fun battling back and forth with the other riders throughout both motos and am looking forward to the rest of the season and putting down some good races on these stock machines!" said Wienen.

Racing heads to Wienen's home state of Illinois at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, Illinois June 15 and 16 for the sixth round of racing.
