Rockford Fosgate/TiLube Honda Announce Team Line Up And Partnership

American Honda announces their support of the Rockford Fosgate/ TiLUBE Honda Team to contend for the 2018 AMSOIL Arenacross, Monster Energy Supercross East Lites, and the Wiseco ATVMX Championships.

TiLUBE, a familiar name with success in the Arenacross and SX Lites series has partnered with Rockford Fosgate to add another dynamic to their already solid program. 

The Rockford Fosgate/ TiLUBE Honda Team is proud to introduce its 2018 lineup

Contesting the Arenacross Class will be the return of rider No. 5, Jace Owen. Owen won seventeen main events, nine overalls, and finished second in overall points in the 2017 series. Joining Jace is a rider that is no stranger to AX and who is hungry to win again, the No. 2 of Chris Blose. 

A solid Lites Class effort will be fielded by the No. 14 of Heath Harrison (East) and the No. 13 of Jared Lesher (West).   

Technical Director/Team Principal Buddy Brooks will build and maintain the bikes, as well as continue to work closely with Honda in engine research and development on and off track.

Mechanic(s) Talon Bronk (for Owen), Wayne Eller (for Blose), and Gary Schlentz (for Harrison) will report to Team Principal/Team Manager David Eller.    

Riders competing in the East Lites SX effort will consist of the No. 37 of Frederick Noren and the No. 44 of Lorenzo Locurcio. “We are excited to see how Noren’s experience and maturity can help guide newcomer Locurcio’s speed”, states Buddy Brooks, who will return as Team Principal (overseeing management, engines/technical, and mechanics). Talon Bronk and Jimmy Brooks will serve as the team’s SX mechanics.

The team will also be fielding championship efforts in the ATVMX Series. 2017’s Pro Champ, Joel Hetrick, will lead the assault with his No. 1 plate (Career No. 88). The No. 135 of Pro rookie Haedyn Mickelson, Pro-Am rider No. 100 - Noah Mickelson, and Pro Sport rider Grayson Eller – No. 171 will complete the roster of Hetrick’s teammates.

Mechanic(s) Brandon Lauer (for Hetrick), Mike Jackson (for H. Mickelson), Wayne Eller (for N. Mickelson), and Jim Hardy (for Eller) will work with Suspension Specialists Doug Roll and Jay Gobel, and Race Development Director - Rod Mickelson under the direction of Team Principals David Eller and Buddy Brooks. In 2017, this group captured ten overall titles including- two Rider of the Year awards, Pro Mechanic of the Year, and AMA ATV Team of the Year.
