BRP Pledges more than half million in contingency for AMA ATV Motocross Championship

Valcourt, Québec, January 5, 2009 - Affirming its commitment to ATV motocross, BRP announced contingency in the amount of USD $519,650 for Can-Am racers of the ITP/Moose Racing AMA ATV Motocross Championship Series Presented by Parts Unlimited. It is just part of the more than USD $1.6 million BRP has earmarked for its 2010 Can-Am X-Team Contingency Program. The amount makes it one of the most extensive ATV race contingency programs in North America. The program pays cash out to third place and offers a championship bonus for 17 classes in the series.
The classes covered are: Pro (with a championship bonus of $100,000), Pro-Am, Pro-Am Unlimited, Pro-Am Women, 450 A, 4-Stroke A, Production A, Open A, Vet 30+ A, 450 B, 4-Stroke B, Production B, Open B, College 16-24, Junior 25+, Women, Senior 40+. Each eligible participant in the program will receive earned contingency in the form of a cash payout via check.
