Introducing The 2015 Koster Racing Team

TimeFriday, November 7, 2014 | 1:15 PM

Many of Ohio’s top riders are gearing up together for an exciting 2015 race season and are proud to announce their team line up.

Greg Faschian and Debbie Elston from Medina, Ohio were first introduced to ATV nation thru Nicholas Walkuski and Joe Cisar over a year ago when the boys invited them to watch a local race. After seeing the checkered flags fly, Greg and Debbie were thirsty for more. They then went to their first national race at High Point in 2014 and that’s when the adrenaline rush set in. At that race, Joe Cisar took an over overall and Christopher Taddie earned a moto win. Greg and Debbie were instantly committed to what has now evolved into Koster Racing.

2015 will bring 12 Ohio riders together to travel the country all competing and doing what they love together. One extraordinary thing that sets them apart from most of the other race teams is the fact that all 12 riders live within 45 minutes from each other and from the Koster Racing facilities in Brunswick, Ohio.

Without further ado, Greg and Debbie are pleased to announce the 2015 Koster Racing line-up:

Adam Clark #31 riding a Yamaha YFZ 450R will make a return to the Pro class after missing some of 2013 due to the passing of his mother and most of 2014 for financial reasons. Looking to build on his 7th overall standing from 2012 it will be exciting to see what the team atmosphere brings for Adam, his family and his team. Adam has not stopped training physically and has started back on the bike late this summer. With some things figured out with the Yamaha and the addition of a practice track at his house 2015 will be a great season! Adam has never had a mechanic at home or at the track and this has proved to be a weak point in the race weekend program. Koster has solved that by providing one for him.

Chris Taddie #488 will be racing the Plus 25 & Plus 30A classes. His personal goal is to win a championship and enjoy the time spent with his teammates, traveling the country, and racing the ATV nationals.

Joe Cisar #5 is excited for what 2015 will have in store for Koster Racing! He will be racing the 450 C class and Veteran 30 where he looks forward to battling for the national championships on his Koster Racing Honda.

Vince Mirman #535 is wishing all of his new teammate’s good luck and shows much excitement leading into this coming race season. He will be practicing hard this winter with big aspirations to shine in the B classes.

Nicholas Walkuski #15 feels very honored and privileged to be back with the Koster racing program. He will be aboard the Koster Honda machine in the 30 C and Open C classes.  His goal is to have consistent finishes and compete for the championship.

Ty Templeton #55 will be running 450A and Production A. This will be Ty’s 3rd year of racing and he hopes to add to his 3 National titles. He is very enthusiastic to join the Koster Racing team and looks forward to training with his friends and teammates this winter!

Dan Hoisington #71 will be working hard this winter to be able to run up front in The Pro-Am and Open A classes. He shows much enthusiasm to return to Koster Racing and is looking forward working with his new co-riders. He believes Koster will have a strong season backed by good riders, good friends and good families.

Maci Devenport #9 will join the Koster Race team and will be moving up from the youth ranks to Womens and 450 classes. She continues to train hard on the track, looks forwards to learning from her fellow Ohio riders and plans to be a strong contender for a 5th National Championship.

Koster Racing’s 2015 Satellite riders:

Travis Brown #524 racing +30 C, Production C and possibly the 450C class.

Peyton Roth #147 will be running schoolboy for the 2015 and is eager to absorb new riding skills from his fellow teammates.

Drew Scherer #617 will be racing his second season of ATV Nationals. He had 2 top 10 finishes last season and moves up to 90 Shifter Sr and 90 Open Sr.

Gage Scherer #523 will race his DRR 50's in the 50 semi-stock and 50 CVT class at the ATV Nationals. He finished 2nd in 2014 and is hoping for a National Championship this season. He may be the smallest Koster rider but has committed to give it all he’s got.

With this group of Koster Racing riders, their families and the many team sponsors like Cycles R Us, Quadified, Fly, Ram Jam, SSI, Koster Moisture Tester, Elka Suspension, Powermadd Ride Innovations and FourWerx Carbon, Greg and Debbie are confident that 2015 will be full of podium finishes and great memories to last a lifetime.
